VoIP Call Recording Provider Sees Eye-to-Eye with SMBs, Performs Well Despite RecessionIt’s no surprise that this year has been a tough one for any company, in any industry. Between budget cuts, traveling cutbacks and salary freezes, it’s evident that many companies are just trying to stay afloat and wait this economic hurricane out in hopes of brighter skies ahead. With people losing their jobs and companies scaling back on everything from holiday parties to product releases, many organizations – no matter how big or small – are facing, what has been dubbed the worst economy since the Great Depression, in some form or another. For many companies in the telecom industry, this year has been increasingly difficult. However, one specific company, SIP-based VoIP call recording provider, SIP Print (News - Alert), said that, despite the rough terraine, the journey offered some great accomplishments. “Well as you may expect 2009 was a very difficult year for most companies with the recession and down turned economy,” Don Palmer (News - Alert), CEO and president of SIP Print, told TMCnet in a recent interview. “That being said SIP Print made huge advances within our product as well as within the way we do business.” For a company geared towards the small and medium business, or “SMB,” market, the company made many advances during the year, including opening several new Distribution Channels that, according to Palmer, were above and beyond what we had projected for 2009. As many could expect though, the SMB market was hit especially hard during the slow economic year. Why? Rather than having a steady hold on its company, like a large corporate enterprise does, a SMB is surveyed daily and decisions are made within minutes not weeks or months or even years, Palmer added. However, despite all the unpredictable measures that are associated with the SMB market, there’s still an essential need to provide ultimate customer service. “So, the truth is that SIP Print demand has been growing and growing,” Palmer said. “Why? SIP Print IS small business; we recognize and relate to the needs of small business.” Understanding clients is the most intricate part of maintaining customer relationships and, thus, adding success to a company. And, with SIP Print’s connection to the SMB market, it’s no surprise the company managed to stay more than safe in the rough year we’ve all experienced.
