SIP Print Launches Lab Certification ProgramIn an effort to test and verify interoperability between various VoIP phone systems and its own call recording system, SIP Print announced that it's formed a separate organization and associated certification program.
The California-based creators of the first SIP-based VoIP call recording platform today announced the SIP Print (News - Alert) Labs Certification program, designed to ensure reliability and high performance for SIP call recording in these environments.
"SIP Print Lab Certification program grew out of increasing market demand for interoperability information − especially among SMB organizations in industries with strong call recording requirements, such as financial services, legal, healthcare, and emergency services," said Jonathan Fuld, chief technical officer at SIP Print.
The certification program is a multi-faceted effort to bring together IP-PBX (News - Alert) vendors, customers and channel partners to create and define standards of interoperability and performance for call recording applications on SIP-based phone systems, according to Fuld.
"Customers, vendors and channel partners will benefit knowing that the phone systems certified by SIP Print Labs will exceed their expectations in delivering highly reliable, high performance SIP call recording," said Fuld.
SIP Print was recently recognized for extending programs for these vendors and channel partners and was selected to the Everything Channel's CRN Emerging Technology Vendor list for its roster of call recording solutions, which are designed to operate with any SIP-compliant phone system.
Don Palmer (News - Alert), chief executive officer of SIP Print, said the company’s inclusion on the list was a result of its emphasis on providing partners with the key resources to help them be successful.
The initiative is designed to provide call recording ecosystems that industry participants can use for verified working solutions. In addition, based on growing demand for this new certification, IP-PBX vendors and end-users recognize the increasing importance of SIP Print Labs' stamp of approval, according to Fuld. The SIP Print appliance offers a pure system-level SIP voice recording for SMBs and larger organizations with a need to record up to 200 seats per location. SIP Print's platform supports SIP at the communications system level and can also record advanced functions like voicemail or "follow-me" calls on mobile phones or other off-premise phone numbers, ensuring endpoint accessibility.
