MyNetFone Mobile VoIP Apps Ensure a Rich User ExperienceTo say that mobility has become an integral part of today’s lifestyle would be an understatement. Ericsson predicts that more than 50 billion devices will be connected to the Web by 2020, and Cisco (News MyNetFone, a provider of hosted voice and data communications services, recently unveiled its Mobile VoIP applications for iOS and Android (News - Alert) devices, designed to provide increased functionality and user-requested features, ensuring a rich mobile VoIP experience. The apps allow customers on MyNetFone’s residential VoIP plans to make and receive low-cost phone calls from their mobile device through Wi-Fi, 3G or LTE (News - Alert) services, and allow for call recording and playback later. The apps offer customizable options, such as diverting calls from a MyNetFone home phone number to the mobile app. The only thing that is required is having a spare SIP Endpoint account and any VoIP plan. Rene Sugo, CEO of MyNetFone Group, said in a statement, "With support for Australia's two most popular mobile operating systems, iOS and Android, our customers can easily take their residential VoIP service with them wherever they go. Not only can they enjoy the cost benefits of our competitive call plans outside their home, they will also never miss a call again when they’re out and about if they wish to divert calls from their home MyNetFone service to their Mobile App." MyNetFone offers residential, business and enterprise services and solutions, including Ethernet broadband, virtual fax and DSL Internet. Its VoIP services allow users to enjoy lower calling costs to local, national, international and mobile destinations and save up to 60 percent off phone bills. In November, MyNetFone acquired Internet provider Connexus in an attempt to boost voice traffic on its network. The acquisition aimed to lift the company’s traffic, grow its subscriber base and take advance of the national network capacity it obtained through its purchase of Symbio (News - Alert) Networks in February.
